Caring for our residents' every need

Our directors, Jeremy Lord and Mavis McLaughlin, and our Home Manager, Sally Cooper, are committed to Scalford Court’s aspiration of excellence of person-centred care in a home-from-home environment.  We are determined that, through detailed care planning with residents and family involvement, our home is resident-lead and we actively listen to our residents’ ideas and suggestions.

We monitor our residents’ dependency very carefully responding to additional staffing requirements as they may be required.  Through the quality one-to-one time between residents and our care team, along with therapeutic activities and aromatherapy, we strive to create a relaxed and interesting environment for those who may choose to participate.

Our dementia care is person-centred.  This focuses on strengths and abilities while caring for the whole person ensuring, on a daily basis, memories are shared with the pleasures reminiscences can bring.

Quite simply, our approach ensures a family home with a lovely atmosphere – an ethos of which we are all very proud.
